Celsius to Fahrenheit Conversion Guide
Celsius and Fahrenheit are two of the most common temperature scales. Converting between them is easy if you know the formula.
The Formula
To convert from Celsius (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F):
(°C × 9/5) + 32 = °F
To convert the other way, from Fahrenheit to Celsius:
(°F − 32) × 5/9 = °C
Examples
- 0 °C = 32 °F
- 25 °C = 77 °F
- 100 °C = 212 °F
- 68 °F = 20 °C
When to Use
Celsius is used in most of the world, while Fahrenheit is standard in the United States. Knowing how to convert between them is useful when reading weather reports, cooking instructions, or scientific data.
